Magnetic drawer-in-housing units utilize two or more levels of offset magnetic grates to redirect product as it flows through the housing. Redirection of product causes it to slow down as it winds through the magnetic grates. This increases amount of tramp metal exposed to the tube magnets, and its separation from product flow is maximized.

Magnetic materials used for drawer-in-housing tube magnets include ceramic, alnico or rare-earth neodymium. These options allow us to match the appropriate magnetic pull to your specific application so that removal of tramp metal is ensured and downstream processing machinery is protected.

In addition, the doors on Plastics Industry (PDH) models is fitted with a transparent polycarbonate panel for easy visual inspection of magnetic grids. When you see the need to remove tramp metal from the magnets, simply open the door and pull out the easy access drawers to expose the tubes for cleaning.
