Remove Ferrous Metals With Magnetic Drawers

Magnetic DrawersIPES International makes magnetic drawer-in-housing separators. These are multi-level grate magnets in stainless steel housing, made of Ceramic-8A or Rare Earth-Neodymium, offering a strong, high intensity, high gradient magnetic field to remove ferrous/tramp metals from free-flowing materials. You would typically find drawer-in-housing separators in or below hoppers, in closed chutes, floor openings, and catch bins.

With food grade and pharmaceutical grades available, IPES International’s magnetic drawer-in-housing separators are typically used in both the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, IPES International makes custom magnetic separators for other industries, including mineral processing, chemical processing, tire and rubber recycling, and shot recovery.

IPES International’s magnetic drawer-in-housing units utilize two or more levels of offset magnetic grates to redirect product as it flows through the housing. Redirection of product causes it to slow down as it winds through the magnetic grates, increasing the amount of tramp metal exposed to the tube magnets and maximizing its separation from product flow.

Of particular note is the fact that each unit made by IPES International uses gasketed doors secured in place with locking devices, helping control residual dust, leading to a healthier work environment. The doors on Plastics Industry (PDH) models are fitted with a transparent polycarbonate panel for easy visual inspection of magnetic grids.

If your application require a unique mating size, IPES can custom fabricate a transition or flange to meet your needs. To find out more information or get a quote, call IPES International at 412-781-4660 and ask about magnetic drawer-in-housing units.
